Process Management

Team engagement from day one

Understanding equipment and selecting appropriate production platforms is essential to overall production success. Early stage consultation including product design assistance and recommendations for production as well as input to product functionality is a significant strength Allis Tool Systems provides. We contribute Proof of Principle (POP’s) support when deemed essential and prototypes to help insure project success.

Production assessment

Production assessment of our customer’s facilities and capabilities is part of our evaluation when we develop system concepts. Choosing and implementing the appropriate equipment for your production needs is paramount to the success of a project, future maintenance aspects, and most importantly a positive continued relationship.

Each solution has to be tailored to the client’s exact needs. We will make a complete evaluation of these factors and determine the precise program needs before selecting any equipment platform direction.

Engineering

Our Engineering process begins with a thorough and complete understanding of our customer’s needs. Our engineering efforts are lead by PhD level credentials and maintain a serious commitment to success. Engineering overview begins with the project’s available information. A complete review of the program needs also includes careful consideration of overall regulatory compliance requirements. We have successful equipment design experience and incorporate regulatory requirements according to client specifications. Design platforms include Solidworks™, Inventor™, Pro-E™ and AutoCAD™.

Customer project security

Allis Tool Systems has a history of supplying confidential solutions in IP sensitive industries such as Medical/Micro-Assembly/Transportation/Alternative Energies, solar (thin-film), power storage (batteries) and fuel cell products for consumer products/commercial off-grid power/defense.

Risk reduction

Engineering works in both a 2D and 3D environment and has a comprehensive approach to analysis of the automation needs within your production equipment. Allis Tool Systems has diverse experience in processes and assembly, test and packaging. As appropriate Allis Tool Systems engineering process will reduce program risk through FMEA’s, POP’s, Prototypes, Finite Element Analysis, and critical process path cycle time analysis.

Integration

Engineering at Allis Tool Systems takes a practical approach to positively affect the end solution. We are true integrators in the sense that we will select and apply appropriate equipment integration. The selection of integrated equipment and it’s appropriateness to the specific application not only determines the equipments overall success and price but it plays a significant role in the total quality of the production equipments uptime and reliability.

Safety and ergonomics

Engineering places OSHA requirements and operators ergonomics as a paramount concern. Our engineering efforts take into consideration ergonomic metrics, motion timing, cycle time reduction metrics, machine standards, and general operator comfort considerations.

Quality

Allis Tool Systems embraces quality as a process management tool, and uses CRM and our QMS platform to manage product flow in all our processes. Beyond this normal quality function, our quality Process Flow Tracking tools (PFT) assure constant process status cognizance so appropriate questions and actions (and crosschecks) are sequenced as needed. Check lists and work instructions carefully establish consistency and proper protocol as the project flows through the process here at Allis Tool Systems.

Engineering participates fully in quote preparation to insure a cohesive information transfer once a quote becomes a project. Work instruction evaluation considerations take place as a function of the quality programs process flow tracking functions. Product is evaluated first by technology/market and then by environment from the cycle time required to the manufacturing environment.

Maintaining a complete and comprehensive understanding and awareness of critical regulatory compliance is also critical to the success of any program here at Allis Tool Systems.

Manufacturing

Allis Tool Systems has impressive manufacturing capacities. Our facility infrastructure is complete with over head large scale cranes through CMM testing capabilities. Additionally through our parent subsidiaries within Red Top we have world class supplier networks and financial strength, all including very diverse capacities.
